 Quiltmaker's Guide to Fine Machine Applique includes more than a dozen lessons, all of them illustrated with photos or diagrams such as the one to the left.  This diagram shows how to use the tip of your iron - steam off - to tack the sheets of freezer paper together & can be found under the directions for Freezer Paper Basics.

       

Included with Lesson 1 - Outer Curves & Layering - is this illustration of Cherie's fabric gluing tip.  "When you've turned the entire seam, examine the front.  If you find any rough edges, turn the piece over & use a sharp-pointed tool on the back to smooth out the imperfections.  This method works well for people with small, dexterous hands."
